Age-Friendly Across the Ages

For my Summer 2017 graphic design internship, I was hired by the Institute on Aging (IOA) at Portland State University to work on several projects, including the Age-Friendly Portland website, the Oregon Gerontological Association conference flyers, and the Age-Friendly Across the Ages map.

The majority of the work I did for the IOA was illustration and layout work. It was also my first experience working professionally and as the only graphic designer in the department. In addition to getting more practice in using Adobe Illustrator, it gave me a chance to use the skills I had learned in school and apply them to actual work, as well as test my communication and time-management skills.
